Climber falls to his death

An experienced climber descending an ice formation known as Selenium Falls died on Saturday when he plummeted 140 metres. Dave Jeffs, 40, fell after he and two others had climbed 170 metres to the top of an ice formation on the east slope of Sulphur Mountain. He had been rappelling down the formation when his rope broke free of an ice anchor.
