An experienced mountain climber from Calgary is dead after plummetting 140 metres down an ice formation in Banff National Park. Dave Jeffs, 40, and two others had climbed to the top of Selenium Falls on the east slope of Sulphur Mountain on Saturday afternoon. Parks officials say Jeffs was rappelling down when his rope broke free of an ice anchor.
