Tourism industry should help pay for parks, leader says December 6, 2000
Businesses that benefit from national parks should help pay for conservation, a tourism leader said yesterday. "We can't have a situation where you have a company that is profitable and you have its partner, Parks Canada ... operating at a huge loss," said Gordon Phillips, chair of the Tourism Industry of Canada's policy committee.
