Retriever finds lift operator buried after avalanche in Fernie

A Labrador retriever has been rewarded with a sirloin steak after rescuing a ski lift operator in an avalanche at B.C.'s Fernie Alpine Resort. Keno, an avalanche rescue dog, found him unconscious under two metres of snow 24 minutes later. A safety patrol dug him up. The operator was treated in hospital and released.
